Warrant Policy

We stand behind the quality and performance of every product we sell. This Warranty Processing Guide explains how warranty coverage works, what is required for a claim, and the steps customers should follow to receive support.

  1. Warranty Overview

All products purchased from Canadian Battery Store are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand and product type. Warranty coverage protects customers against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Key Warranty Notes

  • Warranty terms and duration depend on the manufacturer’s specific policy.
  • Warranties cover manufacturing defects only.
  • Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, poor maintenance, accidents, overcharging, undercharging, physical damage, or neglect is not covered.
  • In most cases, warranties provide a pro-rated replacement or partial credit, not a cash refund.

  1. What is Not Covered

The following issues are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Batteries drained due to lack of charging or improper charging
  • Swollen, frozen, or physically damaged batteries
  • Terminals damaged by corrosion or improper handling
  • Damage caused by alternators, chargers, inverters, or vehicle electrical faults
  • Incorrect battery type used for the application
  • Deep-cycling automotive batteries or improper cycling of AGM/SLA units
  • Commercial or heavy-duty use on products rated for light duty
  • Modifying, opening, or tampering with the product
