  • Use aluminum tape to hold broken plastic parts together while you do your plastic welding. This tape is heavy and thick (4 mil), and it needs to be. When you are repairing a crack in plastic, you need to have it lined up. This aluminum tape will resist the bending forces that could cause misalignment. In addition to keeping the crack aligned, this tape will prevent you welding rod from blowing through the plastic which happens a lot on thin plastic. This roll of aluminum tape is 2 inch (5 cm) wide, 180 ft. (55 meters), and 0.1016 mm thick.
